Bathing next to the Hellenic Dock remaining from the Ancient Greek and Roman cities of Empúries is a luxury that this beach offers you. This majestic structure, with over two thousand years of history in its stones, is a reminder that this site was the entrance point for the civilizations of Greece and Rome in the Iberian Peninsula. At the other end of the beach is the beautiful town of Sant Martí d’Empúries, with its medieval walls, which has been inhabited continuously for over 2,600 years. It is well worth a visit, as is the Archaeology Museum of Catalunya-Empúries, which is close by. A walk along the coastal dunes and the promenade, the Passeig Marítim d’Empúries.
