Beach of Empuriabrava, located in an urban context, presides the Marina of the same name. His limits are, to the north, the channel of the Marina and to the south, the mouth of the Muga river. It’s a beach with a high rate of ocupation, accesible with car or walking. It has a lenght of 1575 meters and a medium wide of 100 meters.

The beach has all the necessary services for a correct use and accesibility: ramps, wooden footbridge, showers, toilets, parking for handicapped people and for bikes,
information panels, bins, surveillance towers, help points, permanent ambulance, rescue boat, buoyed channels, etc.

For the satisfaction of the neighbours and visitors for the Environment, a system of environmental protection has been introduced, according to the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), the ISO norm 14001,  UNE 187001 and the Blue Flag.

The aim of this action is to guarantee that all the activities in the beach are done with high respect to the environment and that all the users will be informed.

One of this documents is the Environmental Declaration and has the aim to make easier to the public the information on the environmental gestion of the beach of Empuriabrava.

This Environmental Declaration can be consulted at one of the three informative channels that the Town Council put in abaivility to the public: The tourist office, the town council and the web.

Also, a “Chart of Services” exists that is useful to the general public. It consist of information about the characteristics of the town’s beaches and what services they have. This “chart of services” is available at the tourist offices.
